DHS將在多個入境港口實施US-VISIT

2005年9月14日，国土安全部（Department of Homeland Security，DHS)发布联邦公报（Federal Register，FR），通知2005年12月31日之前，边境和运输安全部（Border and Transportation Security，BTS）将在多个入境港实行美国访客和移民身份显示技术程序(United States Visitor and Immigrant Status Indicator Technology，US-VISIT)。

2004 年 12 月 31 日，US-VISIT 入境程序已在 50个最忙碌的陆地入境港口的次要检查区开始实施，而在2005年12月31日前，以下陆地入境港口将把生物采集（biometrics）作为美国访客和移民身份显示技术程序的一部分开始实施。以下为预计实施日期，正式的执行日期将在http://www.dhs.gov/us-visit公布。
